Elections

City elections for mayor and council members are held the Tuesday after the first Monday of November in even-numbered years. The mayor’s term is two years, and the council member terms are four years. Elections for other county, state, and federal elections are also held at this time.

The 2026 elections will include various federal, state, county, judicial and local offices.

Minnesota Caucus Finder

For 2026, the precinct caucuses take place on Tuesday, February 3. The Office of the Secretary of State has developed a Caucus Finder that can direct voters to their caucus location.
